Overview
The historical tour of Albania takes you on a journey through the history and culture of this ancient country, which has been inhabited since the dawn of civilisation. You’ll start your trip in the capital city of Tirana, where you can examine the museums’ archaeological collection; next you will see the stone-carved collapsed medieval town and palace of Apollonia, which was once a flourishing Roman colony; then you’ll proceed to the Museum of Contemporary Art for an overview of ancient and modern Albania. After that, head over to the National Museum of Art to view more than 4,000 years of history through an impressive collection.

Tour Plan
Day 1
Arrival at airport at 11.00 AM, transfer to hotel in Tirana. Visiting Bunk’art 1 in Tirana. Unique Albanian history museum inside a preserved, communist – era nuclear pit bunker. Return to the hotel.
Day 2
9:00 AM meeting at the hotel. Visiting National History Museum which is the most important museum in Albania and Bunk’art 2(From a Cold War bunker, now an underground contemporary art & history museum over several floors). Return to the hotel.
Day 3
9:00 AM meeting at the hotel. Driving to Kruja to visit the National Museum George Castriot Skanderbeg. The museum has the character of a memorial. Return to the hotel in Tirana.
Day 4
9:00 AM meeting at the hotel. Driving to Berat to visit the National Iconographic Museum “Onufri”, which is inside the Berati castle. It is dedicated to Byzantine art and holds 173 objects found on Albanian Churches and Monasteries. Return to the hotel in Tirana.
Day 5
9:00 AM meeting at the hotel. Driving to Korca to visit the National Museum of Education. Is set up in the building where the first Albanian school had opened. Return to the hotel in Tirana.
Day 6
9:00 AM meeting at the hotel. Will be visiting 2 museums, the House of Leaves and National Archaeological Museum in Tirana. The House of Leaves is also known as The museum of Secret Surveillance because it served as the “Sigurimi’s” headquarter during the communist era. National Archaeological Museum was the first museum founded after the second World War in the country. Return to the hotel.
Day 7
12:00 PM meeting at the hotel. Driving to Tirana International Airport.
